Submitting your claim
Claims forms are available here – one designed for landlords and one for tenants. You do not need to use these forms. Your claim can be written in the form of an ordinary letter. These forms are intended to serve as aids. The advantage of using our interactive form is that it will help you to remember to include everything you should incorporate in your claim. All claims and attached letters which are sent to the Rent Disputes Tribunal should be in Norwegian.

Digital post (not e-mail) is fast and secure. If you would like to receive digital post (via your digital Digipost or E-boks mail box), you need to enter your full DOB and personal ID number on your claim. This is a provisional scheme currently being trialled at our office in Oslo. However, it is an advantage if you can nevertheless let us know your DOB and personal ID number so that it can be used when this scheme is adopted at all of our offices.
Please submit your response here.

Claims must be submitted in Norwegian so that all the parties involved and the HTU understand the case. If you require help with writing your claim in Norwegian (or understanding the documents you have received), you can use Google translate (translate.google.com). Please note that Google Translate is not suitable for translation of sensitive information (name, personal numbers etc.).
PLEASE DISABLE POP-UP BLOCKERS!
You should first check to ensure that you have disabled any pop-up blockers on your computer which could prevent the print-out version of your form from "popping up" on the screen. Once you have opened the website you will be able to see the menu under "settings". If you delay checking to see if you have disabled the pop-up blockers until you try printing out a form which you have filled in, it is possible that you could lose your completed form.
If the pop-up blockers have been disabled so that the form pops up as it should, but it is blank/empty, you could try using a different version of the same browser or another browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Crome, Opera, etc.).
PLEASE PRINT OUT YOUR FORM, SIGN IT AND SEND IT TO THE HTU!
Since it is not yet possible to save forms, you must print out your form before closing it, otherwise you will lose all the information you have filled in. These forms are not designed for electronic submission and need to be printed out, signed and sent to the Rent Disputes Tribunal along with any enclosures.
